CAMP ASSISTANT

This position works under general direction of the Director of the Achievement Center of ACS; This position supports both academic and administrative functions within The Center and does the following:

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• 1 year of experience supervising and working with children, preferably as a camp counselor or teacher • First aid skills and training • Ability to pass a background check
• General mobility including, but not limited, to walking, kneeling, and standing
• Proven ability to maintain a safe environment for others in adherence with provided protocol and standards • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and lead activities for groups of children
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Preferred/Other Qualifications:
Has worked in the CCSD school district and/or has a minimum bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a field related to education, counseling, etc. Certification in CPR and AED

CAMP ASSISTANT
ROLE of the POSITION
This position works under general direction of the Director of the Achievement Center of ACS; This position supports both academic and administrative functions within The Center and does the following:
- Answer phone calls and take messages as needed
- Check-In and Check-Out Students each day for opening and closing of camp
- Interact with parents in a professional and polite manner
- Help in cleaning and sanitizing workstations and restrooms before, during, and after camp
- Assist in the set-up and tear down of student stations at the 2 camp locations.
- Assist with meals and snack set up, distribution, and clean up
- Other Duties as Assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
- General mobility including, but not limited, to walking, kneeling, and standing
- Professional customer service skills
- Self-starter and ability to work in teams
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

CAMP ACHIEVENT COACH
ROLE of the POSITION
This position works under general direction of the Director of the Achievement Center of ACS; This position supports both academic and administrative functions within The Center and does the following:
- Ensure a group of assigned campers is supervised and safe
- Utilize appropriate behavior management techniqueS
- General oversight and care of children.
- Attend to the distance learning support needs of children, including; help logging into and maintaining connection to online distance learning systems, monitoring individual school schedules and activities.
- Able to adjust and be flexible to adhere to the individual class schedules of children.
- General cleaning and sanitizing of tables, chairs and classroom equipment as identified on the daily cleaning checklist.
- Maintain and manage daily curriculum and associated environment tasks.
- Monitor signs of emotional and developmental issues in children and notify directors of concerns when necessary.
- Model good behavior for campers as it relates to sportsmanship, manners, and respectfulness
- Identify teachable moments and capitalize on them
- Perform all responsibilities in a manner that guarantees the safety of campers
- Facilitate and encourage participation in activities.
- Interact with parents in a professional and polite manner
- Help with homework and other lessons the youth may need help with.
- Other related duties as identified.
