acs COMMUNITY COUNSELING
Counseling is extremely beneficial for children and adults alike, offering a proven way to identify problems, create solutions, and help an individual get to a healthier way to live. At ACS Community Counseling Center (ACSCCC), we assist our clients by addressing stressors, traumas, abuse & neglect, grief and loss; and through our licensed professionals: depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and other mental health issues.
As a faith based agency, we also have pastoral/Christian counseling available by appointment with lay ministers and staff pastors.

FAMILY & GROUP SUPPORT
Family Counseling
Family counseling is a form of counseling that includes an entire family and focuses on problems that affect the family as a whole, as well as problems that affect individual family members. Family counseling operates on the belief that a family unit is a system, with each member of the family playing their own role. Family counseling attempts to help families resolve conflict within the unit and become aware of certain dynamics that are the sources of power struggles and tension. Group Counseling Group counseling is a form of counseling that involves a group of people and trained counseling staff, that meet on a weekly basis and talk about different struggles and problems of individual members of the group. Oftentimes, this form of counseling focuses on a specific problem or struggle, such as overeating, substance abuse or grief. Group counseling is effective for developing social skills, learning how to relate to others, feeling accepted and offering support and motivation to others. |
individual & couples COUNSELING
Individual Counseling
Individual counseling provides an opportunity to talk with an objective, caring professional about your concerns or problems in a brief, solution focused manner. Concerns discussed range widely, but might include feelings of low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, life concerns, substance use, issues with friends and family, or relationship concerns. Couples Counseling Couples counseling helps two people involved in a romantic relationship gain insight into their relationship, resolve conflict and improve relationship satisfaction utilizing a variety of therapeutic interventions. Our goal is to focus on a specific problem, have active participation on the part of the therapist in treating the relationship itself, rather than each individual separately, solution-focused, change-oriented interventions early on in treatment. and a clear establishment of treatment objectives. |
